Hi Friends and Family!

I want to thank all of you so much for all the ways you supported me while I was in South Africa and Swaziland.
I saw God do so many amazing things while I was there and that simply wouldn't have been possible without your love and support.
I feel like I have grown and changed so much as a person as a result of my time in Africa and I'm so thankful that I was able to embrace that opportunity.
I hope you were able to follow what we were doing in Africa by reading the postings on my website.
The link to that website is listed below if you'd like to check it out.  If you have any questions about things I said on the website or would like to hear more about my time in Africa, feel free to contact me… I would love to tell you about it!
I've been back for a little over a month now, and I've been able to catch up with many of you, which has been a real blessing.
For those of you I haven't caught up with yet, I'm sorry and I hope we can catch up soon!

Many of you have been asking what I am doing next.
The answer is, lots of things!
In the immediate future I am going to New Orleans May 30th - June 9th to help with set-up and training for the summer missions there.
June 11th - July 16th I will be leading a team of high school and college students to Costa Rica to work in some rural villages there.
Then, this fall, I am going back to South Africa to help start a gift shop at the mission base AIM partners with near Johannesburg.
While I'm excited about all of these things, I'm especially excited about going back to South Africa because I love the vision behind the gift shop.
We will be employing people from nearby townships that don't have any source of income to make the African crafts that we will sell.  That in itself will meet a very practical and tangible need for these people, and we hope to simultaneously invest in them spiritually.

Many of you have also asked if I still need support.
  The answer is yes.
I never want anyone to feel obligated to support me, but if you've been blessed by being a part of my support network and would like to continue supporting me I would greatly appreciate it!

At this point I have committed to being in South Africa through Christmas and I'm uncertain what I'll be doing in the spring.
For that reason, I think it would be best for those of you who would like to support me financially to do so on a monthly basis.
I will keep you posted on my future plans as I know them and you can continue to support me as long as you'd like.
I think I will be able to cover all of my expenses (food, lodging, insurance, gas, etc.) if I have $1000/month.
Any extra that comes in each month will go towards paying off the upfront costs such as plane tickets and purchasing a cheap used car in South Africa.
If you would like to make one-time donations to go towards those things, that would be great!

You can send in your donations online by clicking the "support me" link on the lefthand side of this website or you can send a check to the address listed below and indicate on the check that you would like the money to go into my support account.
